2017 Valedictorian & Salutatorian
Congratulations to this year's Valedictorian & Salutatorian!
Valedictorian Savannah Goolsby Belcher is the Valedictorian of Biloxi High School's Class of 2017. She is the daughter of Alan and Ashlee Belcher. She is the granddaughter of Ken and Betty Jordan. Savannah is a member of First Baptist Church Gulfport. She is the dance captain and choreographer for the award-winning BHS Sound Surge Show Choir. Savannah served as Student Body Vice President, Key Club Vice President, Spanish National Honor Society Vice President, and Campus Security Council Secretary. She was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and Rho Kappa. Savannah will be attending Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in the fall.
Salutatorian Santana Blaze Amaker was born in Eschenbach, Germany. Her mother is a Retired Master Sergeant who served over 22 years in the United States Army. Santana spent a majority of her school years traveling with her family as an Active Duty Military dependent. She attended Department of Defense School on Military Instillations until her mother retired and relocated to Biloxi, Mississippi. She has an older brother who plans on enlisting in the United States Air Force and an older sister who ranked sixth in the Biloxi High School class of 2014 and will be transferring to the University of Mississippi in the fall. Santana has served as a member of numerous clubs including National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kappa, and the Cultural Connections Club as a student at Biloxi High School. After graduating, Santana will be attending the University of Mississippi alongside her sister majoring in International Studies at the Croft Institute.
