First Indian Nation Spirit Award Goes to Dana Taylor
The response to the new Indian Nation Spirit Award has been overwhelming, with over 50 nominations coming in during the first month alone - which only goes to show that we have the best teachers and staff around! Every single nomination was deserving of this honor and after reviewing the nominations, it's been decided to recognize one certified and one classified employee each month.
We're thrilled to announce that the First Ever Indian Nation Spirit Award for certified goes to Dana Taylor, Special Ed teacher at Jeff Davis!! According to Marsha Gaines, Ms. Taylor "is an amazing person and teacher. She works patiently and lovingly with our children with disabilities. She is here early every day and doesn't leave until 6 or 7 at night. She tutors and works tirelessly on behalf of her students that need the most advocacy. She gives to any committee she is on and always says - 'What can I do to help?" She is an amazing woman - I cannot fully describe the energy and passion she gives to her job, but she truly does deserve to be honored."
