BHS Class of '24 Valedictorian & Salutatorian

Congratulations to our BHS Class of '24 Valedictorian & Salutatorian!

SydneySydney Papke is the daughter of Greg and Hunpun Papke. She comes from a military family and has been living in Biloxi, Mississippi for 6 years.  She was President of Mu Alpha Theta, Psi Alpha, Spanish Honor Society, Student 2 Student, and Keystone (Keesler AFB). She was an officer and member in 4 other clubs. As the #1 undefeated player on the BHS Varsity Tennis Team, Sydney was a semifinalist at the MHSAA Tennis Championships and was ranked 3rd in the state.  She received the Excellence Awards in 9 AP courses and 5 others, has a 35 ACT, is a PSAT Commended Scholar, BHS Hall of Fame inductee, and ACT tutor. Also an active community member, she won the Presidential Volunteer Service Award with 200+ hours and has spent almost 100 hours volunteering/shadowing at Keesler Medical Center. Sydney has a full 4-year academic scholarship to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. In addition, she was named the 2024 Keesler AFB and Mississippi Military Youth of the Year (Boys and Girls Clubs of America scholarship program), and was a finalist for the Southeast Military Youth of the Year. After graduation, Sydney plans to major in Chemistry and minor in Business at Northwestern University to pursue a career in military medicine. 

 

mckenzieMcKenzie Boudreaux is the daughter of Michelle and Marcus Boudreaux. She has been an active member in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, and Beta Club, and she is the Student Council secretary and the Rho Kappa Honor Society president. She has been an involved student athlete, participating in soccer for six years and volleyball for three. Mckenzie was named to the 2023-24 Biloxi High School Hall of Fame and was also named a Biloxi High School Star Student. Mckenzie will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall to major in architecture after an early acceptance into Mississippi State’s school of architecture.
