BILOXI, MS - After a thorough search, the Biloxi Public School District School Board has named Marcus Boudreaux as the next Superintendent.

Boudreaux has been with the Biloxi School District for 18 years as a teacher, coach and principal and has most recently served as Biloxi High School’s principal since 2015.

Boudreaux brings proven results to his new position, having led his staff and students to increase Biloxi High’s state accountability score by 155 points in the last three years.  He also has a very personal interest in the district – his three daughters attend Biloxi Schools and his wife is an assistant principal at Biloxi Junior High.

“This is a dream job for me.  I’ve spent my entire career in the district and I intend to end my career here.  Biloxi has a long tradition of excellence and I’m looking forward to building on that tradition by challenging our staff, students and community to even greater achievements,” Boudreaux said after Thursday’s announcement.

“Born and raised on the Coast, Marcus understands our unique community and diverse population.  Marcus is a natural leader and understands the high expectations that we have for Biloxi Schools.  We are confident in his ability to lead our students and staff and we look forward to seeing his positive impact on the children of Biloxi,” said Board President Jim Wallis.

Boudreaux isn’t wasting any time – he plans to be in his new office Friday morning when he'll begin searching for the next principal of Biloxi High, a position that he hopes to fill soon.
