The Beverly Briscoe Award was established by the Biloxi Rotary Club in memory of one of its most outstanding and dedicated members. Beverly Briscoe personified the belief of the Biloxi Rotary Club that the profession of teaching is indeed noble and those academic and professional accomplishments should be recognized and rewarded. The award consists of a recognition plaque and $1,000 in cash. The award is presented annually by the Biloxi Rotary Club.
Nominees are evaluated by a judging committee who consider the following: -- Expertise in subject -- Skill in teaching process -- Social habits -- Professional responsibilities -- Understanding of youth -- Concern for the individual
The Beverly Briscoe Award Judging Committee selects one teacher annually from the Biloxi Public School System deserving of special recognition. Congratulations Ms. Dodd!
