I grew up in a large Air Force family, and I am a Navy Veteran. :) so I grew up a little bit all over the US. I was born in San Antonio, graduated highschool in Central PA and then eventully graduated college in MS. My family relocated to Biloxi after my dad retired here. And....it was truly the BEST decision I ever made! We love everything about the Gulf Coast, the Biloxi communities and being apart of the Indian Nation!
I have 3 beautiful daughters who are my whole world and my pride & joy in this life! Jordyn graduated in 2018. Jocelyn, my classic middle child and my baby girl Jayden both attent Biloxi Highschool. I started my teaching career out as a Kindergarten Assisstant Teacher, but before becoming a teacher, I was a Cosmetologist for 20 years. My favorite hobby is photography. I absolutly LOVE taking all kinds of pictures, so most of times you will see me with some kind of camera in my hand!
In the PFE Computer Lab:
Students will visit me once a week for a 45 minute period. During that time, students will have the opportunity to learn about computers, opperate basic educational programs and games, typing skills with guided lessons from Typing Agent & Typing Club, and the responsibility of being a good digital citizen. My students will also have tons of fun learning how to code while playing beginner coding games and dance parties. I really enjoy teaching students about technology but I also strive to teach my students the importance of how to use technology, computers and the internet safely and responsibly.
Throughout the year, students will also have the opportunity to learn some simple navigation and usage of programs like Google Docs, Microsoft Word and creating a few creative projects with Paint. Students will have the chance to complete a program that instructs them on safe internet usage and cyberbullying.
I also maintain the Popp's Ferry Elementary School's Website and PFE Facebook page.
