Mr. Michael Reese now has 32 years of teaching experience and has earned the following awards:

.The 2008 Mississippi Health Educator of the Year by the Mississippi Alliance Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

.District Four 9th Grade (Regional- Gulf Coast) Basketball Coach of the Year in 2006-07, 2010-11, 2011-12 & 2013-14.

.Coach Reese led the 9th Grade Baskeball Team to a Undefeated 18-0 Season in 2014 winning The Regional Championship!

As The Varsity Head Track Coach, Coach Reese has guided his varsity track team to several District 7-6A Track Championships in 2007,2008,2010,2011,2013,2014. The Team earned Distric 8-6A Championships is 2015,2016,2017 & 2018. The Varisty Boys Track Team Finished 2nd in The South State Track Championship in 2017 and finished in 4th Place Overall in the 2017 State of Mississippi Track Championship Meet. This marks the best finish for any boys track team since the 1970's! Coach Reese was assisted with fabulous assistant coaches (Brian Oneal, Leo Green & Geary Howell).

The Team now competes in District 8-6A with arch rivals Gulfport & Harrison Central. Coach Reese also guided the District Four 9th Grade (Regional) Track Champions: 2010,2011 and 2012 until the region stopped competing. As the Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach Reese help contributed in winning a 6-A State Basketball Championship in 2009! Coach Reese was recognized at the Mississippi Association of Coaches and recieved The Service Award (25 years or more of service).

As a Student Athlete: Michael Reese was an All Conference & All State selection while playing Football for the Moss Point Tigers in 1980 (9-2) which earned him a college scholarship to Alcorn State University in Football. In College,

Michael Reese earned All Conference &  All American Honors in Football as a senior while attending Alcorn State University (S.W.A.C). Reese attended Alcorn from 1982-86. The Alcorn Braves won the S.W.A.C Football Championship & The Black College National Football Championship with a perfect 9-0 record in 1984 thus earning the nickname " The Team of Destiny".

Michael Reese was inducted into the Alcorn State University Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 with his Father Carlton Reese (deceased).Coach Reese currently teaches comprehensive health and coaches basketball & track at Biloxi High School. Coach Reese resigned from his duties as a football coach after 28 years with the Indian Jr.high and high school football teams. Michael Reese and his wife Brenda are happily married and recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary!
