Mrs. Kelli Morrow
Welcome Indians to the 2021-2022 school year. I am so excited and honored to be in my second year as a member of the Biloxi Upper Elementary family, and over all my nineteenth-year teaching. I attended MS State University and earned my Bachelor of Science in Education and later I obtained my Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Southern MS.
During my career I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of courses including 10th through 12th grade Public Speaking, Oral Communications and Broadcast Journalism. However, my heart and passion has always been with those students that experience a difficult time processing academic information. Those students whom may only need differentiated teaching, extra reinforcement of the skills, or one-on-one assistance so they will graduate from high school and become successful, productive members of society. My duties as a 6th grade inclusion teacher are to co-teach with assigned Math and ELA teachers for this school year. Additionally, I will pull students several times per week and we will work to bridge the gaps that they may have in Math and/or ELA.
Please know that I became an educator to inspire children to be their best person. I want to be an essential part of your child’s learning experience and to reassure them that knowledge is power! Knowledge is the one thing that no one can take away from you! In giving our students this power (knowledge), there is such a great need for partnership between school, home and our community, and I need your help to insure your child is successful. I truly believe that if we ALL work as a team; we can grow the most magnificent children.
