Mrs. Kelli Morrow
Welcome Indians to the 2022-2023 school year. I am so excited and honored about this being my third year as a member of the Biloxi Upper Elementary family, and my twentieth year teaching. I graduated from MS State University with a Bachelor’s degree and later I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Southern MS. I am the wife of Anthony (Tony) Morrow and the proud mother of Bryson Brewer who graduated from LSU. I should add that he did try to make me happy by attending MSU, but his heart has always been that of an LSU Tiger fan.
During my years of teaching, I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of courses, including 10th – 12th grade Public Speaking, Oral Communications and Broadcast Journalism. Nonetheless, my heart and passion have always been with those students that may experience a difficult time processing academic information. Those students may only need differentiated teaching, extra reinforcement of the skills or one-on-one assistance so that they can graduate from high school and become successful individuals. And for those reasons, I am a 6th-grade Inclusion and Resource teacher. During the school day, my duty is to co-teach with assigned Math and ELA teachers for this school year. Additionally, I will pull students several times per week so that we can work on bridging the gaps that they may have in Math and/or ELA.
Please know that I chose to be an educator to inspire children to be their best person. I want to be an essential part of your child’s learning experience and to reassure them that knowledge is power! Knowledge is also something that no one can ever take away from you! However, because there is such a great need for partnership between school, home and our community, I need your help. I truly believe that if we ALL work as a team, we can grow the most magnificent children.
