• Hello Parents! I’m Joshua Middleton and I have the honor of being your child’s 2nd grade teacher! This will be an exciting and challenging year for your child. This will be their first experience with expectations preparing them for state testing in 3rd grade. I will be their Language Arts teacher and my partner Mrs. Broussard-Washington will teach them math.

A little about me personally. I was raised in Tuskegee, AL and I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State University. I am currently working on my master’s degree. I have been teaching for 2 years and this is my second year at Gorenflo Elementary School. My wife and I love it here on the Gulf Coast!

I believe educators play a unique role as some of the first mentors in a student’s life and we have an enormous impact in shaping their future views toward education. As one of the first teachers your child will encounter in their academic career, I hope to provide my students with an educational environment that is supportive and positive for their physical and emotional growth. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via email, the school, or a note in your child's planner.
