Hello!  My name is Gwen Shoemaker.  I grew up in Oceans Springs, graduating from St. Martin High School.  While I am a Yellow Jacket alumni, I married a native Biloxi Indian.  We absolutely love Biloxi and could not imagine living anywhere else.  I am the mother to one amazing daughter.  She is also a Biloxi High graduate and currently attends the University of Southern Mississippi. This is my fifth year at Biloxi Upper Elementary, and I am  excited to be your child's math and science teacher.  Afterall, math ROCKS!!  I taught at North Woolmarket for nine years teaching 3rd grade math and science.  Prior to that I was in Biloxi at North Bay Elementary where I taught all subjects in 5th grade.  I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with my Bachelors Degree in Education.  This is my 16th year to teach.  It is going to be a FUNTABULOUS year!!!
