• Hello and welcome to North Bay Elementary. Our school serves students K-5 with an average enrollment of 800. We are proud of our school, students, staff and parents for the professional learning community we have created. North Bay was awarded the 2011 USDE National Blue Ribbon School award for student achievement.    Our school is rated an A by the Mississippi State Department of Education. We have also received the PREP Value Added Award and the PREP High Achievement Award for several years. REACH MS has recognized North Bay as a Model PBIS school for our school wide positive behavior system.   All of our teachers are highly qualified and many hold masters degrees. Several  of our teachers are National Board certified. North Bay is well known for its outstanding parent involvement and support. Our PTO sponsors several special activities and events throughout the year.

Our school curriculum is based on the Common Core Curriculum being used by most states across the nation. We use formative assessments throughout the school year to monitor student learning and progress and to design learning plans that meet the specific needs of all of our students. We use the FISH philosophy, Conscious Discipline program and Responsive Classroom Model in our school to build positive character and instill self- discipline. Technology is used throughout our school as we have a promethean board in each classroom, classroom computers in each classroom, as well as a computer learning lab. We even have our very own in house TV station, WNBAY, operated by our WNBAY 5th grade student group. Our students publish our annual yearbook too. We offer special education instruction as well as gifted and talented instruction for those students who qualify for those services.

We believe in helping each student at North Bay to be the very best he or she can be. We believe it is our job as educators to help each child to grow academically, socially and emotionally. Developing each student to be college and career ready is a responsibility we do not take lightly and one we feel privileged to have.

For any questions you may have or to schedule a tour of our school, please do not hesitate to contact us at 228-435-6166. We would love to share with you why we think our school is a great place to learn and grow!
