Ms. Kelsey Cook

      Ms. Cook is from Laurel, MS where she graduated in 2010 from Northeast Jones High School. After graduation, she attended Jones County Junior College and received her Associate’s Degree in 2013. While at JCJC, she was a member of Concert Choir, JC Voices, the theatre department, and Jones OnStage. It was at JCJC where she first discovered her love for teaching and upon graduating, she was accepted into the Choral Music Education program at the University of Southern Mississippi.

      During her time at USM, she was a member of Concert Choir, Women’s Choir, The Southern Chorale, Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated from USM in 2016 with her Bachelor’s in Choral Music Education. Ms. Cook was an active performer in showchoir for 9 years, a group counselor at USM’s Southern Experience Show Choir camp for 3 years, and is entering her 11th year as a show choir choreographer.

      This is Ms. Cook’s 5th year of teaching at Biloxi Junior High School! As the BJHS Director of Choral Activites, she oversees the Concert Choir, Piano Labs, and the award-winning showchoir, Sound Storm. When she’s not teaching, she spends her time with her cats, Gypsy and Leia, as well as her nieces and nephews, Gunner, Jhett, Baylor, Calloway, Serenity, and Remi Claire.
