This is my nineteenth year working for Biloxi Public Schools!  I have experience working with clients from birth to 100+.  My interests include early childhood intervention and swallowing disorders.  As a Speech-Language Pathologist I work with children who have communication challenges that affect success in classroom activities, social interactions, literacy and learning.  I am also a mom to two beautiful children, the sweetest rescue dog, and an amazing, handsome, supportive husband.

Speech and swallowing issues are common among children. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH):

  • 1 in every 12 kids between the ages of 3 and 17 will have a speech, voice, or swallowing disorder
  • 34 percent between the ages of 3 and 10 will have multiple disorders that make diagnosis and treatment more complicated

An unknown author once wrote, "A career in speech-language pathology challenges you to use your intellect (the talents of your mind) in combination with your humanity (the gifts in your heart) to do meaningful work that feeds your soul."
