Rules That All Students Must Know and Follow

    • Entrances in the morning:East side of the courtyard (busses only), West side of the courtyard (Underclass parking), South hallway (Band Hall/Cafeteria – Senior parking).

    • No student entrance:any doorway on the North side of the building, especially the main entrance to the front office (students are to be dropped off on the South [back] side of the school only) – one exception: if the parent has a meeting in the office (parent care, appointment with a teacher or counselor, etc.).

    • Restroom use in the mornings and during lunch:the only restrooms to be used during these times are the two in the Cafeteria hallway.

    • Restroom use during the school day– during class change; if there is an emergency during class time, students must sign out of the teacher’s class and have a timed pink hall pass signed by the teacher.

    • Any time students are in the hall during class time they must have a timed pink hall pass signed by the teacher.

    • If students need to see a teacher before school, theonlyentrance to be used to enter the building (1stor 2ndfloor) is the North entrance from the courtyard to the office lobby – students must tell the teacher on duty their destination.

    • No students should be in the hallways during lunch. Students may enter the North entrance from the courtyard to the office lobby during lunch to see a counselor or visit the Career Center only.

    • After school, students cannot be on campus unless under the direct supervision of a teacher or coach; if waiting for a ride, students must be outside on the South (back) side of the building – no students are to be picked up in front of the building at any time after school – this includes after school tutoring, practice, club meetings, detention, etc.

    • The main office phones will not be used by students after school hours; the Pupil Accounting phone will be available until 3:00.

    • Snack machines are for use after school only – not before school, between classes, or during lunch.

    • When students are absent from school they must get a blue admittance slip from Pupil Accounting on the day they return to school, before the first bell. If sent by the first period teacher to get a blue slip, it is counted as a tardy.

    • During class changes, all students are to walk on the right side of all hallways to facilitate traffic flow.

    • Cutting in cafeteria lines will result in students being sent to the end of the line.

    • Trash from lunch must be disposed of properly, both inside and outside. Leaving trash on tables or in the courtyards will result in detention.

    • Students who are called to the office by an administrator are to use the discipline entrance as marked in the North hallway –notthe entrance to the main office foyer.

    • Repeat dress code violations such as sagging, facial piercing, torn clothing, etc., will result in a discipline referral for open defiance.

    • Using other students’ lunch numbers is considered fraud.
