Grading Scale

Grading follows the policies of Biloxi Public Schools.  A mid-term progress report and a report card following the end of each term are issued.  The student’s current grades are available via Internet IOD. (http://iiod.ssts.com/Home.asp?state=MS)

 

 

 

Enter Subject Area

Objectives: This is a general overview of what the teacher will teach and what the student is expected to master.

The librarian will reinforce Language Arts objectives for each grade level that are related to reading and research skills. Examples are learning about authors, illustrators, fiction, non-fiction, reference books, etc.

 

Assessments: Grades are not given in library;however, oral observation is utilized to determine if students are mastering the objectives taught.

 

Homework/Assignments/Projects: No homework is assigned in library.

 

Course Requirements: Understanding of our circulation system and how to use it properly, basic book care.

 

Reteaching and Retesting:  Reteaching is done as needed.  

 

Additional Comments: Accelerated Reader is a great program to help readers become successful. Please encourage your child to read and check with your child to make sure that he/she is achieving the goals that need to be met each term.

  2. Interrupting learning or instruction in any way is prohibited.

  4. Be in your seat with all necessary materials when the bell rings.
  5. Keep hands, feet, objects, and negative comments to yourself.
  6. Food, beverages, gum, grooming, and note-passing are not allowed in class.
