Art is a blast!
North Bay Elementary

 News in Our Classroom

We are beginning to place super work in our portfolios. We are learning about line (one of the seven elements in art.

In Grades k-1st grade we have created purple line drawings inspired by the book, Art in Harold's Room. We have also experimented in forming Play-Doh letters after reading the story, Chicka Chick Boom Boom.

In 2nd-3rd grade we have created line/pattern quilts with color pencils. We are also begining to learn how to draw characters through a step by step instructional video on the promethean.

In 4th-5th grade we have been working an a big project of creating an abstract portraits by taking a line for a walk. We will enhance and create mood in our portraits though an educated and well planned use of color.
