| Course Objective |
| Students will complete the following objectives/outcomes:
Thinking Skills-Students will demonstrate the use of the creative thinking process to solve a problem in a thoughtful, creative, and useful way.
Group Dynamics-Students will demonstrate the use of various leadership styles, respect for other's viewpoints, and affective interpersonal relationship skills.
Communication-Students will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively by developing listening skills, responses, and effective oral/written communication.
Research-Students will demonstrate the ability to identify topics/problems, conduct investigations using various sources, and develop a product and present results.
Self-Directed Learning-Students will demonstrate the use of self-motivated investigations into areas of personal interest and task commitment.
Social/Emotional Development-Students will explore experiences in life skills.
Visual/Performing Arts-Students will be exposed to the visual and performing arts.
Career Awareness-Students will explore the options and requirements in career choices.
Assessments-Student assessment will be based on teacher observation, rubrics, and self/peer observation.
Homework/Assignments/Projects-Students will complete the majority of projects in class. Should a student fall behind, he/she may be required to work at home on certain portions of a project in order to complete the task in a timely manner.
Course Requirements-Students will be required to complete tasks in relation to the course objective/outcomes. These may include logic assignments, small group problem solving activities, and oral/written presentations.
Reteaching and Retesting-Students wil be allowed to redo an assignment if necessary. |

Bachelor of Science (Education) - Miles College Masters(Education) - William Carey University/ Gifted Educ. Endorsement - William Carey University
(NBCT)National Board Certified Teacher - 2007.
I have 16 years of teaching experience.
(This is my 14th year with the Biloxi Public School District.)
