| Course Objective |
| Students attend the library from one to four times a week to check out books. The librarian reads to them from various genres, and the students do an activity related to the reading, to specific library skills, or to character education.
* The students will use Standard English to communicate.
* The students will express, communicate, or evaluate ideas effectively.
* The students will use word recognition and vocabulary skills to communicate.

| Qualifications |
| Mrs. Goodwin began her teaching career in 1995 after graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor degree in Special Education. She is currently certified in the areas of Special Education (K-12), Elementary Education (K-8), and Library/Media (K-12). Mrs. Goodwin is also a graduate student at William Carey University, where she is pursuing a master degree in elementary education. |

- Listen and Follow all directions the first time given.
- Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
- Keep your hands, feet, objects, and negative comments to yourself.
- Stay on task in your assigned area unless otherwise directed.
- Respect yourself, each other, and your school building/property both inside and outside.
- Take care of books and return them in a timely manner.
- Follow library procedures during book selection, check out, and check in.
