Math Homework

Students will have nightly math assignments. Mon.-Thurs.

All assignments will be placed in Communication Binder.

Math homework is sent home to reinforce objectives taught.

Students will write assignments in planner nightly to be signed by a parent.

Spelling Homework

Students will write down spelling assignments in planner daily to be signed by parent.

Assignments are studying words and rules nightly.

Study words night before test. Recite sentences and words orally.

Reading Homework

Homework Mon.-Thursday.

Students will read assigned stories nightly to build comprehension and fluency skills. Let your child read aloud to you it helps build confidence and a joy of reading for fun.

Assignments will be written in planner nightly to be signed by parent.

D.O.L. (Daily Oral Language) English

Study sheets will be sent home to be practiced and studied with daily lessons to be reinforced.

Students will discuss and copy DOL sentences Monday-Wed. Grammar, editing, parts of speech, sub/verb agreement, caps., and sentence structure will be studied.

Students will compose several graphic organizers (charts, bubble maps, outlines) to complete paragraphs. Most paragraph writing will take place at school. Editing symbols and explanations are in English folders.

Check child's planner nightly for homework assignments.

*Make your child bring home his/ or her Communication Binder daily. Parent's please sign your child's planner daily. Write any comments or concerns in the planner.
