4th Grade Teachers

Anna Sandel began her teaching career at North Bay Elementary in 2004. She was born and raised in Natchez. While in Natchez she attended Copiah Lincoln Community College where she received two Associate degrees: one in Marketing Management Technology, and the other in Elementary Education. She then transferred to Alcorn State University on an academic scholarship where she received her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She is currently working on her Master's in Elementary Education at William Carey. She and her husband, Matthew, are expecting their first child in December. They are so excited!

	Dori Skrnich has been teaching for eleven years. She previously taught 3rd and 4th grade at Howard II before it closed. She received her Master's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.		Patti McManus has been teaching at North Bay for 8 years. she received her B.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi.

	Stacy Garcia has been teaching at North Bay for 8 years. She received her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and her Master's of Education from William Carey College.		Kim Starks has been teaching at North Bay for 8 years. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has been teaching for 20 years. She taught 1 year in Georgia, four years in Florida, and has been a teacher for the Biloxi Public Schools for 15 years. While in Biloxi she has taught at Nichols Jr. High, Dukate, and North Bay. In 2000, she received the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year Award. She' an annual presenter at the National Reading Styles Instititute for her "Curriculum with Style" and "Power Reading" reading strategies.

	Debra Powell began teaching at North Bay in 2006, however she has taught in the Biloxi Public School System at Beauvoir Elementary since 1998. She recived her B.S. in Special Education and Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Master's degree in Education from William Carey College.
