Dear parents,

     I am so excited about this school year and I am thrilled to have your child in my class.  As the year progresses, we can look forward to many exciting and rewarding experiences. In order to ensure your child has every opportunity to learn and be successful in my class; we have been learning the classroom and school procedures. As a class, we have developed a mission statement of our goals for this year.      

 If a part of our mission statement is broken, the student must follow the classroom consequences. A pocket chart of colored cards will be used as a visual reminder of whether students are on track with their behavior or not.

The consequences are: 

1. 1^st time:  warning (green)
2. 2^nd time: 5 minutes of recess/ time out
3. 3^rd time: 10 minutes of recess/ time out and note in planner
4. 4^th time: Phone call
5. 5^th time: Detention (blue)
6. office referral

I believe in encouraging students who choose to follow directions and behave appropriately in class. I reinforce positive choices with the following classroom rewards:

1. North Bay Bucks

2. tickets to place in the bowl for weekly drawings

3. class party

4. praise
