Dr. Laurie Pitre, Principal

 

Dr. Laurie Pitre began as the principal at North Bay in February of 2001.  She moved to the Coast in 2000 from Jackson, MS.  She grew up in McComb, MS.  Dr. Pitre graduated with a B.A. in elementary education from Millsaps College.  She received her masters degree in elementary education  and her certification in Administration from Mississippi College.  She is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.  Dr. Pitre recieved her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.  Dr. Pitre is married to David Pitre, and has two daughters, Madeline Grace and Sophia Marie. 

 

 

 

Mr. John Pugh, Assistant Principal

Coach John Pugh has been in the Biloxi School system for 26 years.  He is a Biloxi High graduate of the class of 1973.  Mr. Pugh served in the United States Army for four years before returning home to attend college.  He received his Bachelor of Science and Master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.  Mr. Pugh coached boys basketball for twenty years and was part of four state championship teams, two of which he served as head coach.  He was selected Coach of the Year for the state of Mississippi in 2004.  This is his second year to serve as an Assistant Principal at North Bay Elementary.  He is married to Lynn Pugh, also an employee of the Biloxi School system, and has five children, John-22, Joely-13, Joshua-13, Jordan-10, and Juliann-6.
