What We Are Doing and When!
October 6 & 7, 2008 - Students will be working on Word 2007 definitions. They may type them or hand write them.
October 8-9, 2008 - We will be learning more about Word 2007!
October 10, 2008 - We will be doing a problem solving activity!!
October 13-16, 2008 - We will be learning more about Word 2007 and doing a few lessons in the book!
October 17, 2008 - Test on Word 2007!
October 20 - 24, 2008 - We will begin work on PowerPoint 2007! Monday we are doing a PreTest and starting vocabulary. Tuesday we will finish vocabulary and do a discussion on Blackboard. Wednesday students will work on a PowerPoint project from their book. There is a PPT vocabulary quiz on Thursday and notes! I will be absent Friday so I can take my dad to a doctor appointment! We thought we could wait until December but he has a place on his face that needs to be looked at. In addition to his other problems, he has had skin cancer frequently in the past!
October 27, 2008 - Finish notes!
October 28, 2008 - Start on "Dream" project! The rules are on Blackboard. We will work on this Tuesday -Thursday and start presenting them on Friday!
October 29, 2008 - Work on "Dream" project.
October 30, 2008 - Test on PowerPoint!
October 31, 2008 - Finish work on the "Dream" Project!
November 3 & 4, 2008 - Students will present "Dream" project to the class!
November 5, 2008 - Students will do leadership vocabulary!
November 6, 2008 - Students will discuss the qualities of a leader! We will begin watching the movie Remember the Titans.
November 7 & 10, 2008 - We will continue to watch the movie about leadership, Remember the Titans.
November 11 - 14, 2008 - Students will work on a leadership project that will be a test grade. See the specifics on BlackBoard.
November 17, 2008 - Presentation by MGCCC to all 9th graders in the auditorium.
November 18 - 20, 2008 - Begin unit on goals. Students will start learning about goals, why you need them, and how to set them. Students will look at a PowerPoint presentation and 2 web sites and then create their own PPT presentation with another student. They can pick from two titles to present on - S.M.A.R.T. Goals or 7 Steps to Powerful Written Goals.
November 21, 2008 - Students will show their presentations to the class and be graded.
November 24-28, 2008 - Thanksgiving Holiday!!! Have a fun safe week!
December 1, 2008 - Begin unit on financial planning!
December 9, 2008 - Finish notes on financial planning.
December 10, 2008 - Mrs. Parker from Biloxi High will be here to talk to the students about the courses for next year.
December 11, 2008 - Study guide using notes students took! Afterwards students may do make up work or do financial planning games online.
December 12, 2008 - Test on financial planning. Afterwards students may do make up work or do financial planning games online.
December 15, 2008 - Smart Goals worksheet. Afterwards students may do make up work or do financial planning games online.
December 16, 2008 - Step 2 worksheet. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR MAKEUP WORK!!!! Afterwards students may do make up work or do financial planning games online.
December 17, 2008 - Review for term test.
December 18, 2008 - 1st, 3rd, 6th, & 7th period exams!
December 19, 2008 - 2nd, 4th, & 8th period exams! School dismissed early!
