Classroom Rules and Consequences

Ms. Chesman’s Discipline Plan

Welcome to Michel!  Please take a few minutes to read and discuss the following class rules and consequences.  We believe that every child has the right to the best education possible.  For that reason, the following discipline plan has been developed.

EXPECTED BEHAVIORS:

1.  Bring all assigned materials to class (homework, notebook, pencil, paper, etc.).

2.  Sharpen pencils before class and be in your seat before the tardy bell rings.

3.  No eating, drinking, grooming, sleeping, or note writing allowed in class.

4.  Avoid talking without permission and/or causing unnecessary distractions.

5.  Follow all teacher instructions and classroom, building, and district rules.

CONSEQUENCES:

Step 1              Warning- verbal or written

Step 2              Write rule broken 50 times.  Return the following day.

Step 3               Detention assigned and/or isolation island with parent contact.             

Step 4              Referral to school counselor

Step 5              Office Referral 

                        *SEVERE INFRACTIONS OF CONDUCT WILL RESULT IN

IMMEDIATE OFFICE REFERRAL.
