The United State’s first National Constitution was called Articles of Confederation

In 1781 several states delayed ratification of the Articles and argued over land

In 1776 most Americans felt loyal to their states

A two house legislature is called a bicameral

The legislative branch of government makes laws

Confederation Congress is the new name of Continental Congress

The last state to ratify the Articles of Confederation was Maryland

George Washington was a critic of the Articles

The main author of the Articles was John Dickinson
