Advanced 8th Band

 

GCBDA Concert Festival Band Contest will be held Friday, March 19 at Ocean Springs High School.  Adv. 8th band students will compete in the Concert and Sight Reading portions of the contest.  Students will be transported to the band contest by two school buses.  All BJHS band contest activities are during the school day.  Please see the Band Contest Itinerary listed below for our band.  All band parents of the Adv. 8th band will be notified by a parent reminder form delivered by the student.  The band needs 6 chaperones for this event.  Parents volunteering to chaperone our band contest Friday, March 19 (during school hours) need to please contact me at 435-1421 or  bill.crowell@biloxischools.net .

Solo and Ensemble Competition will be held Saturday, April 17 at Gautier Middle School.  There is an entry fee of $10.00 per event. The deadline for signing up for Solo and Ensemble Competition is Friday, Feb. 12.  Solo and Ensemble music will be passed out by me during the following week.  We need parents to volunteer as chaperones for this event as well.  Please contact me at 435-1421 or bill.crowell@biloxischools.net if you can help chaperone for Saturday, April 17.  We will travel to Gautier M.S. by bus and will eat lunch in Gautier before returning to BJHS.  Students are reminded to bring lunch money for this event.
