Advanced Band

GCBDA Solo and Ensemble Competition will be February 11, 2012. Advanced band students must wear (BAND UNIFORM) Red BJHS Band Shirt, Tan Khaki Pants, and Tennis Shoes) for this event.  All participating students are to report to the BJHS Band Hall at 7:00am. We will load and depart BJHS at 7:30am.  We will arrive at Gautier Middle School at approximately 8:15am.  All students will report to the warm up area (Gym) set up their equipment and warm up.  All students will line up outside our designated judging room and we will begin our first Solo and Ensemble entry at 8:30am.  We will depart Gautier Middle School at approximately 10:15am.  Lunch will be from 10:20 to 11:15am.  We will arrive back at BJHS at 12:00 noon.  Students will receive an extra grade for participating in Solo and Ensemble competition.  Parents, please be on time to pick up your child from this event.

GCBDA Concert Band Competition will be held Tuesday, March 23 at Ocean Springs High School.  The performance begins at TBA and lasts until TBA.  Students will be dismissed from their class and meet me in the Biloxi Junior High School Band Hall at TBA.  Roll call will be at TBA.  Students must wear (BAND UNIFORM) Red BJHS Band Shirt, Tan Khaki Pants, and Tennis Shoes) for this performance.  They will not be allowed to leave class without their complete uniform on.  Students are reminded to bring all of their music and band equipment needed for this performance.  The performance will start promptly at TBA and last until approximately TBA.  At the end of the performance (TBA), band students will board the buses and return to Biloxi JHS, pack up their equipment/music and be dismissed from the band hall to return to their next scheduled class.
