Monday:
The teacher will read the story “Samuel’s Memory”
to give the students a deeper understanding of the Trail of
tears and talk about Osceola. He will then talk about the
Panic of 1837 and the economic crisis that followed after the
election of 1836. Students will turn in their centers from the
previous week begin their center work for this week. (Information on the contents of
the centers are located

Tuesday:
The teacher will give a brief lecture on the end
of the Jacksonian era. (p. 435) He will talk about the election
and 1840 with the elections of Harrison and Tyler.

The teacher will administer a test on chapters

The teacher will give a brief introduction
lecture into the idea of Manifest Destiny in American culture
(p. 444) The teacher will talk about the Oregon country and the
mountain men.
