My name is Catherine Abruzzese and I am the career-technical counselor for Biloxi High School.  I am responsible for the academic needs of the students who enroll in career-technical classes.  Some of my duties include setting up parent conferences, reviewing transcripts and assisting with scheduling, writing letters of recommendation, and verifying GPAs for scholarships and financial aid.  I am also available to counsel with students on personal matters, if the need arises.  I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre in 1975 from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg Campus and a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling in 2002 from the University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast Campus.  I am certified as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and taught at Moss Point High School for five years prior to becoming a counselor at Moss Point.  I joined the Biloxi High School staff in 2004 as career-technical counselor.
