Mrs. Twilbeck is a special education teacher at Beauvoir. She began her teaching career at Beauvoir late last year. Mrs. Twilbeck works with fourth through sixth grade children who have Specific Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and others categorized with other health impairments.  She has been able to raise her students reading levels by 1.5 to 2.5 grade levels in a 27 week period.  Mrs. Twilbeck also collaborates with regular education teachers to ensure that her students are included in classroom activities as often as possible, allowing them to achieve goals in both regular and special education.  Mrs. Twilbeck serves on the several committees school wide, she has also gone to training and created her own classroom website.
