Rebecca Pettigrew, Biloxi Education Association

Rebecca Pettigrew of the Biloxi Public School District received the Mississippi Association of Educators Member of the Year Award at the MAE Spring Representative Assembly in Jackson, MS. This award is presented to the MAE member who is outstanding in Association work at all levels: local, state and national. Mrs. Pettigrew teaches at Beauvoir Elementary and currently serves as Vice President of the Biloxi Education Association. She also holds a seat on the Mississippi Association of Educators Board of Directors and will travel to Los Angeles in July as a delegate to the National Education Association’s Representative Assembly. Rebecca is dedicated to children and the education profession. She performs local and state activities to help support educators and works to ensure that public education is the best that it can be for every child and teacher in Mississippi.
