What I learned is that just a simple thing like a carrot can become a beautiful house plant.  All you need to do is get a carrot with the green top sill on.  Cut about one inch off the top.  Then put the top in a pie pan full of pebbles.  Then put in  aspot where there is not  a lot of sun.  Watere it once every day for two weeks. When it grows, you can put it anywhere in your house.
