Christopher Columbus discovered what is now know as the Bahamas in 1492. He and his men met the Arawak Tribe. He called them Indians because he thought they had landed in India. They all became friends. King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella of Spain to get money for ships. Mrs. Nicovich's kindergarteners reenacted the whole thing, here are the pictures that show it!
