Everyone learned more about some of the inventions made by African Americans.

Mr.Jimerson's 2nd graders help sing

Dr. Andrea L. Davis, DDS Associate Dentist at the Gulf Coast Dental Center in Gulfport, MS, a former Biloxi Public Schools student spoke to students.

She told students to set goals.

She encouraged them to work hard in school.

Nurse Joyce Christian, school nurse from Gorenflo spoke to students next.

She told them to alway be kind to the people you meet.

Because your actions have an effect on people.

Elder Eddie Corley spoke next.

He has a musical group and he sang songs for the children.

He played piano also.

The children clapped along to the music.

Elder Corley gave students a poem and a picture of Martin Luther King.

The children were impressed.

Elder Corley drew the picture......

and wrote the poem about Martin Luther King.

Mrs. Brand, Beauvoir's principal closed the program.

Our guests helped sing one last song.

The children sang along with them to "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
