Thumbelina Facts The first true miniature horse, Thumbelina was born on a farm in Missouri. She weighs fifty seven pounds, and she is seventeen and 1/2 inches tall. Thumbelina was born on May 1st, 2001. Her father was thirty one inches tall! She was full grown when she turned six so she was full grown f our years ago and she is a female horse. Thumbelina is a Chestnut mare, she is dark brown. She is so small because she is a dwarf, that is why she's the world's smallest horse. She is also the smallest horse in history! She visits lots of schools, she is going to school because she is trying to raise one million dollars for charity. Today she went to Beauvoir Elementary. Thumbelina has been to lots of cities, states and other countries in Europe and South America. Thumbelina sleeps in a dog house, I've never heard o a horse that sleeps in a dog house! Beauvoir students were very impressed with her because she bosses around the big horses. She can't jump very high. She likes to play and she goes under the deck at the farm to rest.
