Beauvoir's playground was overun with an invasive species-the Chinese Tallow tree, also known as the "Popcorn Tree." Beauvoir is trying to restore the natural habitat as a part of our year long wetlands study. The personnel from Keesler Airforce base came in force on Saturday, October 28th and cut all of the invasive trees out. They also built shade benches and pavilions for the playground. Thanks, Keesler, for "Making a Difference!" |
