 Language Arts Tutor

I expect that my students show respect to the teacher and the other students in the class. 

Pay attention during instruction.

Never give up when an assignment is hard for them .  Together we can overcome any challenge. 

I work with students on a one on one basis to assure mastery of skills in the areas of Reading and Language. 

I work closely with the classroom teacher to reinforce any skill the student is having difficulty  mastering.

Project Read Programs: Phonology, Written Expression and Story Form.

We use the following computer programs in our classroom.  Students work on the program that best fits the skill that he/she needs to master.

1.Lexia Reading SOS-Phonics based program.

2.Skills Tutor-Reading and Language program.

3.Orchard-Reading and Language program.

4.Study Buddy Hand Held Computers-Reading and Language. 

I have been teaching for 33 years.  I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.  I am married and have one son.
