Safety, Supervision, Scores and Selling BHS Through Excellent Customer Service
MONDAY – 6th Regular Schedule Ø Culinary Arts Students attend 3rd Annual MS ProStart Culinary Competition @ the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson. Ø Mid-Term Progress Reports will be distributed to students during 2nd period. Ø GearUp “Preparing for SATP” Meeting for Parents, 6:30 p.m., BHS Cafeteria. Ø Practice for Harrison County Spelling Bee, 3:00 – 9:00 p.m., BHS Lecture Hall. Ø Key Club members selling “Valentine Candy Grams” ($1). Candy Grams will be delivered 2nd period on the 14th. Ø Campus Security Council selling tickets ($2) for Taser & K9 Demonstration on Friday. Ø Mandatory Tennis Practice Ø Boys Track Tryouts, 2:30 Ø Jeans for Teens Campaign – Donate jeans for homeless teens! Drop off in ROTC or library.
TUESDAY – 7th Regular Schedule Ø Detention, 2:20 – 3:30 p.m., Cafeteria. Ø Late bus, 3:45 p.m., will continue to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Before a student may ride the bus, the teacher who is remediating or working with the student(s) must send a list of student names, the date they are riding that week and each student’s bus top (example: Park Ave and 5th) to Mr. Fantroy by 2:00 p.m. the day before the student is to ride. Ø “Prizes Make Practice” begins for students attending SATP tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to the “Feed the Mind” program! Ø Harrison County Spelling Bee, 5:30 p.m., BHS Lecture Hall. Ø Division Varsity Basketball Tournament @ home beginning @ 4:00 p.m. BHS Boys vs George County @ 5:30 p.m. & BHS Girls vs St. Martin @ 7:00 p.m. Students & staff please be reminded that Big Red Passes, Faculty Passes & Student Passes may not be used for these games. Tickets are $5. Ø Mandatory National Business Honor Society Meeting, 2:30 p.m., Room #230. Dues must be paid. Ø Clubs meet after school. Ø Key Club members selling “Valentine Candy Grams” ($1). WEDNESDAY – 8th Regular Schedule Ø Faculty meeting, 2:30 p.m., Lecture Hall. Ø Jostens will be on campus during lunch to take orders and payments for graduation announcements & other items. Today is the last time that Jostens will be on campus before late fees are applied to orders. After February 29th a $10 lat fee will be added and after April 30th a $25 late fee will be added. Ø Key Club members selling “Valentine Candy Grams” ($1). Candy Grams will be delivered 2nd period on the 14th. Ø Campus Security Council selling tickets ($2) for Taiser & K9 Demonstration on Friday.
THURSDAY – 9th Regular Schedule Ø Make up Faculty meeting, 6:45 a.m. Ø BCT, FBLA & Business Fundamentals students will be attending the Annual Entrepreneurship Symposium to prepare for regional competition in April. Ø Late bus, 3:45 p.m., will continue to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. FRIDAY – 10th Regular Schedule Ø Lesson Plans due to your evaluator. Ø Taser & K9 Demonstration, 1:45 p.m., Sports Arena. Teachers will be notified when to release students who purchased a ticket. Ø Division Varsity Basketball Championship @ home, 6/7:30 p.m. Ø Key Club members selling “Valentine Candy Grams” ($1). Candy Grams will be delivered 2nd period on the 14th. Ø Lindy Callahan Scholar Athlete nominees due to MHSAA. Ø Honor Choir at Delta State
REMINDERS
When on duty in the courtyard & at lunch, please remember to circulate at all times.
Students use restrooms in cafeteria hallway only during lunch.
Students may enter North hall to see counselors or go to the Career Center during lunches.
Students are not to enter or exit via the front office when arriving/leaving school.

Feb 17th – Cheerleader Tryouts
Feb. 16th – Prom Court Applications due no later than 2:30 p.m. to front office.
Senior T-Shirts $12.00 from any senior Student Council member
Feb 24th – High School Dance applications are due to Mrs. Cooksey in the Career Center no later than noon. No applications will be accepted after the deadline. No incomplete applications will be accepted.
Mar. 14th – AP Exam Fees due to Mrs. Brookshire
