of the New Biloxi High School is on schedule and improvements to
Jeff Davis, Lopez, Popp's Ferry and Beauvoir elementary schools
took place over the
summer. The new high school will open in August, 2002,
followed by two new
elementary schools in the fall of 2003. North Bay
Elementary School opened its doors to
students in the fall of 2000. The district's three junior
high schools will be consolidated,
to maximize educational and extracurricular opportunities in the
fall of 2002, and will be
housed in the current Biloxi High School and Michel Junior High
School.
