Mrs. Hughes is a native of Woodville, Mississippi. She moved to the coast in 1989 and has been employed by Biloxi Public Schools since that time. She has served as an administrator in Biloxi Public Schools for the past 8 years. Mrs. Hughes attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education, as well as administrative certification. She is a member of Mississippi Professional Educators and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. This is her fourth year as a principal at Popp's Ferry Elementary School.

Dr. Vera Robertson is a native of
Biloxi, Mississippi. She graduated from Biloxi High School many years ago.
Dr. Robertson attended the University of Southern Mississippi where
she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, a
Master of Education degree in Counseling, and a Doctorate of
Philosophy degree in Educational Administration. She has been an
administrator for four years, counselor for one year, and teacher
for thirteen years in Biloxi Public Schools. Dr. Robertson is
married to Benjamin Robertson and they have two sons, Colby and
Jarred.
