Michaela Moore and Christopher Boucher have been selected to represent Biloxi High School in the Gulf Coast Youth Leadership Program, 2011.
The purpose of the GCYL program is to develop high school students into leaders who are informed, motivated, and committed to working toward an improved quality of life.
Michaela is an honor student actively involved in student government. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the show choir, the Biloxi Belle Dance Team, the theatre department and the broadcast news team. Michaela is also a member of SOAR (Students Offering Alternative Roads), a performing troupe at BHS. She gives much back to her community through her church and volunteer work with the American Heart Association, the City of Biloxi and the Humane Society. Michaela is the daughter of Twyla and Don Moore.
Chris is also an honor student. He is an active member of the Key Club and the AP Psychology club. He has been a part of the Biloxi High Swim Team for five years and has been on the city team for ten years. He is currently the Captain of the Swim Team. Chris volunteers at both the Senior and Special Olympics. He is the son of Sherry and Chris Boucher.
