Beauvoir teacher Becky Lucas and how her "Wonderful Wetlands" project persevered post-Katrina have been profiled in Education World, a nationally recognized teacher resource.
Lucas, technology teacher at Beauvoir Elementary School, and fourth grade teacher Pat Crawford were set to embark on a school-wide wetlands teaching unit just before Katrina struck.
The story of how Lucas and Crawford adjusted their exercise is told in "Teacher Feature," an online best-practices resource for teachers visiting the Education World website.
