The Biloxi High School Cheerleading Squad has won a host of awards at the Universal Cheerleaders Association Camp at Mississippi State University.
The squad received Superior ribbons for all of its performances and evaluations, and was named one of the Superior Squads of the camp. The competition was held May 31-June 3 at Mississippi State.
The Biloxi squad placed 3rd in the large varsity pom-pom routine, 2nd in the large varsity co-ed camp champs, and 2nd in the large varsity co-ed extreme routine.
Five BHS cheerleaders were named All-American Cheerleaders. They are Cassey Toney, Dana Barhanovich, Beth Briggs, Laura Munro, and Bryan Marble.
Three BHS cheerleaders received “Pin It Forward” honors for representing themselves as amazing cheerleaders, role models, and standing out as individuals. They are Ro’Nae Spencer, Abby Taylor, and Juliana Douglas.
The BHS Cheerleading squad is coached by Chastity McLemore, who is also a cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints. |
