On Saturday, the Biloxi Lady Indians track team took aim at the Region 4-6A Title. And the Lady Indians did not disappoint!
The ladies came away with their third title of Regional Champs (2009-2010-2011) and had a qualifier or qualifiers in all events. What an amazing feat! These ladies will move on to the South State Meet next Saturday at Hattiesburg High, beginning at 10 a.m. Individuals had to place in the Top 4 to advance to the South State Meet.
Biloxi was led by Tisa Smith and Nachaska Wright, each winning two events. Shannen Weyer also had a great showing while qualifying in all three of her events. There were many others that qualified and I am grateful for their help in accomplishing this third regional title.
Biloxi Girls scored 196 points winning over rival Gulfport by 21 points. Way to go!
The coaches also thank the individuals who did not move on to the next meet. We appreciate their effort, dedication, and hard work to help make the Lady Indians track program such a success. Without you, this regional title could not be possible.
A job well done! Hooray to the back-to-back-to-back regional champs, the Biloxi Lady Indians track team!
