A number of Biloxi High SkillsUSA members have won titles at the district level, and are headed to state competition.
Thirty-one Biloxi High students participated in the district competition at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville on Feb. 22, and top finishers will now advance to state competition April 13-14.
Members who placed at district competition were Jacob Henning, First Place, Related Technical Math; Skyler Helman, First Place, Extemporaneous Speaking; Adell Wagner, First Place, Job Interview.
One of three Quiz Bowl teams from Biloxi High placed first at district. The first place team consisted of Ashley Broussard, Noah Fulmer, Craig Guichet, Destiny Guy, and Sonny Sok.
Second place winners were Zera McClendon in Prepared Speech and David Quave in Cabinet Making.
Other members participating in district competition were John Anglada, Sharrod Brown, Datravias Cleveland, Cassandra Coleman, Tyrell Collins, Amanda Dickerson, Brianna Evans, Samantha Gooch, Matthew Greyson, Craig Guichet, Destiny Guy, Santerria Harris, Cameron Hopkins, Justin Lecamu, Alexis Nelson, Terry Odom, Fredrick Peoples, Nicholas Perry, Andrew Rider, Carlton Shinell, Lindus Stanovich, and Xibin Zhang.
