| Residents of Biloxi will have a chance to list the qualities they want to see in the new superintendent of Biloxi Public Schools during a town hall meeting this evening at 6:30 at the Biloxi Junior High School auditorium.
The meeting will be conducted by the Mississippi School Boards Association, which has helped school districts throughout Mississippi successfully locate and hire superintendents. Throughout the day today, the association is gathering input from school administrators, teachers and other staff.
The Biloxi School Board hopes to have a new superintendent in place in May.

Basketball teams begin district tournament this evening
The Biloxi High School men's and women's basketball teams, which have unblemished records at home this year, begin district tournament play this evening at Pascagoula.
The Lady Indians (19-6 on the year and 12-0 at home) play Pascagoula at 7, and Indians (18-4 overall and 10-0 at home) play George County at 5:30.

Biloxi drill team a step ahead in national competition
The Biloxi High School Air Force Junior ROTC Drill Team has won a national championship.
The Biloxi squad, competing in a field of nearly three dozen teams in the Coca-Cola National Drill Championship in Montgomery, Ala., placed first in the Female Color Guard division and captured several other top awards.
