The Biloxi High School Drama Department has done it again! For the fourth straight year, the students of Drama Director Kelly Norris have won the Lynn Meadows Rubber Chicken Improv Festival. This year the event was held at Gulfport High School on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 and Ms. Norris brought two teams to the competition.

"I had 28 students audition for the team, and I hated to turn down such enthusiastic kids. I called Tonya Hayes, the director of the festival, and begged to let me have two teams," Norris said.

One of the teams, "Kelly's Kiddies," brought home the infamous rubber chicken trophy. This team included Erika Barber, Jessica Byrd, Yolanda Cruz, Corey Gaspard, Stephanie Grammar, Trey Harris and Heather Kmiec. The other team, known as "Norris' Ninjas," consisted of Sean Harding, Eryn Irby, Genna Miller, Michaela Moore, Maddy Monson, Jeremy Trippe, and Arnucy Turner. Ms Norris says that "both teams were very strong and consistent. The win wasn't just for the one team; it was for us all."
