Nearly 20 people turned out for a workshop designed to help grandparents and other non-traditional parents who may be raising children attending Biloxi Public Schools. The gathering, which was held Oct. 6 at the district’s DuKate Building, provided a forum to discuss the grandparent's needs, the student's needs, and to answer questions about testing, homework, the academic needs of the students, and to discuss the role grandparents are playing in the child's lives.
