Fight the Flu

The Biloxi Public School District is taking steps to help educate parents and students on how to minimize the risk of being exposed to flu viruses.

As part of its efforts, the school district on Friday, Dec. 13, 2009 distributed to students an "H1N1 Toolkit" for parents to review. The toolkit included information about vaccinations to be offered at Biloxi public schools, a parental consent form that must be signed by parents or guardians, a Q&A about the virus and the vaccine, and a letter from the Mississippi State Department of Health.
