Two types of proof of residency

Which elementary school your child will attend

To see a detailed map of attendance zones for the district's four elementary schools, click here. The elementary school your child will attend is determined by the zone in which you reside.

Biloxi has one junior high school and one high school. However, if you are unsure which elementary school zone you live in, you can call the Student Services office at (228) 374-1810, extension 1125, or you can e-mail aimee.brown@biloxischools.net.

Biloxi residents living north of I-10, (and south of I-10 in some areas such as Eagle Point) although now part of the city of Biloxi, do not reside in the Biloxi Public School District.  These residents are in the Harrison County School District  Students living in this area of the city may attend Biloxi Public Schools on a tuition basis.

Age requirements

Students entering kindergarten must be 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2013.

A few words about late registration

Parents are strongly encouraged to register their children during the July 23-24 registration times; they must register their children no later than Wednesday, July 31, for children to attend the first day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Those parents who are unable to register their children on or before Wednesday, July 31 must pick up registration packets for their children on Thursday, Aug. 1, and return the completed packets on Friday, Aug. 2 for processing. The first day of school for these late registrants is Friday, Aug. 9.

Other things you should know

Fines: Returning students will not be permitted to complete registration until they have satisfied any outstanding fines, fees or other charges from previous school years; they also will not be allowed to register until all required information has been provided.

High school parking: Students in grades 9-12 who wish to purchase parking decals at registration must present a license tag receipt and proof of insurance.  Parking decals are $5. Students who operate a motorized vehicle on campus are subject to the district's drug testing policy.
