BHS Band Boosters

Band Booster meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the High School band hall. All parents are encouraged to attend.

Bill Lee, Director

Mr. Lee is a graduate of Mississippi State University. In 1987 he began his teaching career in the Biloxi Public Schools at Fernwood Jr. High School. During that first year he was named the Biloxi Rookie Teacher of the Year by the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Lee is a member of the Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity as well as the Mississippi Bandmasters Association and the Gulf Coast Band Directors Association. He is a past president of the Gulf Coast Band Directors Association and was a past recipient of the GCBDA Jr. High Director of the Year award. Mr. Lee is also a member of the 41st Army Band with the Mississippi National Guard. bill.lee@biloxischools.net

Alana Auslander-Price, Assistant Band Director

Mrs. Auslander-Price recently moved from Nashville, Tennessee, where she has been a band director in the Tennessee Public Schools for eight years. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Kentucky University, where she was a percussion major. She recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Master of Arts Degree, with an emphasis in instrumental conducting.

Mrs. A-P has been an active member of the Middle Tennessee State Band and Orchestra Association, Women Band Directors National Association, Percussive Arts Society, Music Educators National Conference, and the National Education Association. She was also a percussionist with the Tennessee Valley Winds.

Mrs. Auslander-Price lives with her husband, Jon Auslander-Price, who is the Director of Operations for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Papa Johns Pizza franchise, and her beagle, Bongo.
